Large Floral Celadon Vase

This vase is 24' in height, made with a speckled buff clay with a white slip laid over. An intricate floral pattern is carved into the surface of the slip to reveal the contrasting clay color underneath in a ancient technique called sgraffito, with a Celadon glaze on top.
